How to Reach Sanchi?

Sanchi can easily be reached by train or road from Bhopal, Mahoba and other places. It lies on the railway line between Jhansi and Bhopal. It is 46 kms north-east of Bhopal by rail and is connected with it by a good 48 kms (via NH86) road.

From Mahoba, Sanchi can be reached by road via Chhatarpur and Sagar.

Some of the finest examples of Buddhist art and sculpture are to be found at Sanchi, a centre of pilgrimage which attracts Buddhists from all over Asia.
